Aldi employees can now make up to $23 per hour to start, the company announced earlier this month.
Webthe discount grocer will also raise its national average hourly pay for associates with starting wages for store and warehouse roles being $18 and $23 per hour, respectively, based on market and position.
Webthe organisation, which has more than 1,000 stores, 11 regional distribution centres and 45,000 employees across britain, will increase its national minimum pay.
